Facebook is such a useful tool that you may want to use it on a computer where it is blocked away from use. If you want, you can use the services of a proxy server. When you do, you can visit Facebook right on the screen in front of you and trick the filtering system into acting as though you are only on the proxy’s website. The web sites on a blocked computer are delivered to you through a main server. Proxy servers can be chosen and used by schools and companies to block certain websites. By visiting the website of a different proxy server, you can have Facebook delivered to you at the “blocked” computer you are on. In addition, the url or web address, that shows up on the school or organization’s computer filtering system, will be that of the Facebook proxy website itself.
